One of Becky’s Mothers’ dogs.
Don’t let the short stature fool you, when on her hind legs she’s tall enough to eat food right from the kitchen counter.

The Butterfly Effect
Posted on June 19, 2008
This butterfly is from the Lycaenidae family, it is a Inornate Ringlet and it is fairly common. I like how its eye is tack sharp and you can see that its looking at something off camera…probably a juicy lupin flower to suckle on!
and at 100%:

Grass Skipper
Posted on June 16, 2008
This is a type of butterfly from the Grass Skipper sub-family. I’m pretty sure this is a Hobomok Skipper, likely a male. This one was flying around erratically in a crop of lupins until it stopped for a minute and seemingly took a nap while I snapped this picture.
This picture and the 100% crop below also show the amazing capabilities of the Canon 100mm 2.8 macro lens.
What a furry face….

My nephew Nathan wreaking havoc in Woodstock. Also a good example of one of my attempts at panning that actually worked out.
