Cloud Lake
Posted on October 19, 2009

Hand made by beavers, this lake only exists because of their dams. It is ~500ft above Highway 60, hence the name Cloud.
This was halfway through our trek on Centennial Ridges.

Sacrificial Meditation
Posted on October 12, 2009

This is my sister demonstrating what I like to call, sacrificial meditation.
In this form of mediation the object is to sit yourself precariously on the edge of a cliff and meditate the rock loose allowing you to achieve complete peacefulness and one-ness with the universe as you plummet down the rock face.
That’s just my assumption.
Here’s what she told me when I yelled at her for sitting on such a wobbly looking rock: “Oh don’t worry, I kicked it a lot first to make sure it wouldn’t move.”

Take up in Oxtongue at the end of August. One of the many birds that would eat out of our hands every morning.
